01 About this notice

This Your Privacy Choices page has been prepared for California residents in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as modified by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). It serves as a supplement to our general Privacy Policy, providing California-specific rights and required disclosures.

Alden Search LLC is incorporated in Delaware and delivers recruitment and staffing services in California (maintaining an office at 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 2450, Suite 2700, San Francisco, CA 94104) as well as nationwide. For CCPA purposes, we qualify as the "business" responsible for the processing of your personal information.

One-sentence answer Your personal information is never sold or disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, and California residents may request access to, deletion of, or corrections to their data at any time by contacting privacy@aldensearch.com.

03 Sale & sharing

As defined by the CPRA, a "sale" encompasses selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating personal information in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. "Sharing" means disclosing personal information for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising.

Alden Search does not sell personal information. Nor do we share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No sale or sharing has occurred during the prior 12 months, and we have no intention of changing this practice.

When we disclose personal information to service providers and contractors (for example, our ATS, email platform, and background-screening vendor) under binding confidentiality agreements, these disclosures do not constitute "sales" or "shares" as those terms are defined by the CPRA.

04 Your California rights

As a California resident, you are entitled to the following rights:

  1. Right to know: Ask us to disclose the categories of personal information collected, the sources from which it was obtained, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared, covering the prior 12 months (or a longer period at your request, where feasible).
  2. Right to access: Obtain a copy of the specific personal information we have on file about you.
  3. Right to delete: Direct us to erase personal information we have collected from you, subject to legally recognized exceptions (such as records required for EEO or tax compliance).
  4. Right to correct: Ask that we fix any inaccurate personal information in our records.
  5. Right to opt out of sale/sharing: Even though we do not presently sell or share personal information, you retain a standing right to opt out in the event our practices change.
  6. Right to limit use of sensitive PI: Instruct us to restrict the use of sensitive personal information to only those purposes that are specified and authorized.
  7. Right to non-discrimination: Exercising any of these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment (see Section 8).
  8. Right of portability: Receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format suitable for transfer.

05 How to submit a request

There are three ways to exercise any of the rights described above:

5.1 — Online

Send an email to privacy@aldensearch.com using the subject line "CCPA Request – [type of request]" along with a brief explanation of the right you would like to exercise.

5.2 — By phone

Dial our toll-free privacy line at +1 (877) 634-8190 and choose the "Privacy & Compliance" option, or request to speak with the Privacy Officer directly.

5.3 — By mail

Mail a written request to the following address:

Alden Search LLC · Attn: Privacy Officer
315 Park Avenue South, 18th Floor
New York, NY 10010

5.4 — "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

At present, we do not engage in the sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA. If our practices were to change in the future, the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal transmitted by your browser would be recognized and treated as a valid opt-out request.

06 Verification & timing

As a safeguard for your data, we will confirm your identity before processing any request. We typically ask for enough information to match you against our records — usually your full name, email address, and the approximate date of your most recent interaction with us. For requests involving sensitive actions (such as deletion or access to sensitive PI), we may require further verification, including a signed declaration under penalty of perjury.

Verifiable requests will receive a response within forty-five (45) days. Should we require additional time, we will inform you within the initial 45-day period and may extend the deadline by up to an additional 45 days, for a maximum total of 90 days.

You are entitled to submit two free requests within any twelve-month period. Requests that are excessive or manifestly unfounded may be subject to a reasonable processing fee or may be declined, and we will provide an explanation of the reasons in either case.

07 Authorized agents

You have the option to appoint an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent will need to supply:

  • A signed, written authorization from you granting the agent permission to act;
  • Proof of the agent’s own identity (government-issued ID);
  • Direct verification of your identity with our team.

08 Non-discrimination

Exercising any right under the CCPA/CPRA will never result in retaliatory action from us. In particular, we will not:

  • Withhold services or decline to consider you for placement opportunities;
  • Apply different pricing or fee structures to you;
  • Deliver a reduced level or diminished quality of service;
  • Imply that exercising your rights will lead to different pricing or service quality.

09 California "Shine the Light"

Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents have the right to request a notice identifying the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. As stated elsewhere in this document, we do not disclose personal information to third parties for direct marketing. If this practice were to change, we would update this section and provide appropriate notice.
